In some cases you may need to manually adjust the monthly revenue amounts for subscriptions. Some examples are:

  • If you have already recorded past months' revenue from a spreadsheet or another accounting system, you may need to adjust those months in ProRata to match your spreadsheet. This is typically done for historical data that was recorded prior to using ProRata. This ensures that ProRata accurately records future months' revenue based on what was already recorded manually from your spreadsheet.

  • If you have special cases for how to recognize revenue such as a subscription was paused for a period of time or maybe your business requires you to recognize revenue in a manner that is not straight-line.

To edit the revenue for a subscription go to Customer > Subscriptions > Click the subscription > Revenue Tab > Edit Revenue.
